Everything You Need to Know About the DDA PM Uday Yojana

If you own a house in an unauthorized colony in Delhi, you should get ownership rights and register in the DDA PM Uday scheme for 2022–2023. Under this scheme, you can get property and ownership rights and decide when to mortgage and sell. Registering in this scheme can enable you to leverage institutional credit and boost your earning potential. Therefore, it is required to know everything about this scheme.

Delhi, the capital of India, is a key center of trade and commerce. As per the 2011 census, the population of Delhi in 2021 is likely to reach 22.5 million (225 lakhs). To meet the growing demand of the National Capital Region, the center has envisioned ensuring rational, integrated, and balanced growth.

As the reconstruction project progresses, the Central Government has distributed approximately 3024 freshly constructed DDA flats to eligible people. This initiative will provide home ownership and a sense of security to the economically disadvantaged sections of society. Furthermore, property ownership will allow them to obtain institutional credit, and improve their earning potential even further.

How Does it Progress?

The Union government has currently assigned the task of preparing a blueprint of unauthorized colonies to the DDA. It will complete within the fixed limit based on the satellite images, 2015. Furthermore, the Authority has included provisions for constructing these colonies in the Delhi 2041 Master Plan. The preparation of development control rules for the city’s illegal colonies is also underway for the anticipated development of current colonies.

The options prepared in accordance with DDA-approved norms include critical factors such as resettlement planning or meeting the minimum planning requirements of unauthorized colonies by encouraging plot amalgamation and ensuring the participation of the original owners and residents of the land within prescribed parameters.

Furthermore, the FAR will be increased from 20 to level one and 50 in big plots with a high floor area ratio for regularisation and regeneration of existing unauthorized colonies. In comparison to prior DDA rules, more emphasis has been placed on increasing the Floor Area Ratio (FAR), infrastructure development, public space, and road width.

Online Application

Under the DDA PM Uday scheme, people from unauthorized colonies can apply for ownership rights when registering through the PM Uday portal. When approved, the applicant will only have to pay a nominal fee and get the registry papers from the Delhi Development Authority. (DDA) Here are some steps to follow under this scheme:

Step 1: Create an online profile for yourself.

Go to the PM-Uday portal and select ‘Registration’ for PM-Uday login. Fill in the blanks with your name, communication address, and cell phone number. Choose the colony where you want to apply. Once registration is complete, an acknowledgment receipt will display. You can note the unique registration number and contact information for agencies appointed under the PM-UDAY scheme for reference purpose.

Step 2: Make Contact With The GIS Agency

One of the three GIS firms tasked with updating the property’s geo-coordinates should do so. The chosen agency would next visit the property to determine the geo-coordinates, which would then be uploaded to the DDA PM-UDAY site. After the process, a unique ‘GIS ID’ will be provided to your registered email address and cell phone number.

Step 3: Property Specifics

Provide information on the property, like the location of the land. Fill in the blanks with the details precisely as they appear on the documents.

Step 4: Documentation

The last step is to scan and register important documents like the electricity bill, the latest ownership bill, the property tax mutation document, the agreement to sell, and payment documents.

Step 5: Print the Application

After filling out all of the required information and uploading all of the necessary papers, you must finally apply. The signature file would have to be uploaded by the applicant. Finally, you must print the filed application, which will have a unique case ID and will be referred to in all future contacts.

Furthermore, applicants can now even see their application status and see whether it has been rejected or accepted.

To conclude

Millions of slum dwellers in Delhi’s unauthorized colonies have benefited from the PM Uday Yojana scheme. Regularisation has been a gigantic task, but with the Government’s intervention and appropriate thrust, securing ownership rights has been accelerated to protect the interests of economically weaker sections of the population.
