Rajkumar Rao is a Bollywood actor who started his career in 2010. With the movie Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010), Rao made his acting debut. He later played supporting roles in the 2012 movies Gangs of Wasseypur: Part 2 and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within.

In December 2020, Kapoor purchased this flat in a luxurious skyscraper as part of the Juhu-Vile Parle Development (JVPD) Scheme. It is well-known for housing several prominent members of the film industry.

Why did the Star Paid a High Stamp Duty?

Along with the amount of a whopping 44 crores, the actor also paid a stamp duty of Rs. 2.19 crores, while the actress Jahnvi Kapoor paid only Rs. 78 lakhs not more than two years ago. This raises a big difference in the stamp duty that the two paid for the same property.

Between September and December of 2020, the state government provided a 3% discount to buyers of homes to increase real estate transactions in 2020–21. Typically, the Maharashtra government provided a two per cent exemption until March 31, 2021, and a three per cent stamp duty rebate through December 2020.

Due to this, the actor ended up paying a high stamp duty resulting in one of the priciest real estate transactions in the county being completed on March 31, 2022, but it wasn’t legally registered until July 21, 2022.
